Hello friends!

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know MANDRILL P.I. Novel #2 is live!

Super excited to share this novel with you. It’s the 2nd book of the trilogy, which means it’s chock full of mystery, action, thrills, and so much more!

There is a regular cover and a variant (exclusive to Kickstarter backers), both of which look super cool.

And Carlos is back with another AMAZING print--and this time, if a paper version isn't cool enough for you, we're offering the option to get it in metal!

And that's not all! Here's another reason to back day 1:

My ask would be for you to back it at this time, even if it’s as little as $1. Anything matters, because the more backers we have, the more Kickstarter’s algorithm goes to work getting us in front of a wider audience.

about 1 year ago – Thu, Apr 20, 2023 at 06:18:33 AM

Hello again!

I hope your 2023 is off to a fantastic start!

Just wanted to let you know that:

The prelaunch page for the 2nd MANDRILL P.I. novel is live!

Kickstarter has approved the next project: MANDRILL P.I. Volume 2: Showdown in Murder City. It's the next prose novel in the series, and it will launch in mid May. I'm super excited to share it with you. If interested, click on the below image to sign up for notification on launch:

***Signing up for notification in no way obligates you to back the project, but it does help with Kickstarter algorithms and is vital for the project's success. Most importantly, this author will love you forever if you do so :) ***

What's it about, you ask? Well, I'm happy to give you the description:

Who stops cartoons when they turn criminal?

MANDRILL P.I., that's who!

When you’ve had a career as long and storied as this hardboiled, hard-drinking private detective, you make a lot of enemies. And as he takes a case to rescue a pair of kidnapped toddlers, he finds himself being hunted by mysterious figures from his past. If he doesn’t turn the tables and stop them in time, they won’t just murder him, they’ll slaughter the kids and everyone important to him!

Will he put an end to their reign of terror before it’s too late? Or will he and his friends meet a most gruesome end?

Thank you again!

Last chance for free early backer bonus on MANDRILL P.I. #4
about 1 year ago – Fri, Feb 17, 2023 at 08:01:02 AM

Hello again!

MANDRILL P.I. Issue #4 is chugging along. We've surpassed our funding goal, and we're currently closing in on 140% funded!

If you're still on the fence, just wanted to give you a heads up that today (by 11:59PM PST) is the last day to back and receive a FREE bonus: a 4-page digital horror comic I did with the AMAZING Christopher Tupa called Nightmare on Puppet Boulevard.

This is a story we created for an anthology that never ended up getting published. You'll be the first to experience it outside the creative team, and I can't wait to share it with you! [CLICK HERE OR THE IMAGE ABOVE TO HEAD TO THE MANDRILL P.I. #4 PROJECT PAGE]

Also, we've already unlocked our first stretch goals and milestone rewards.

And we're quickly closing in on these next ones:

There's tons of awesome stuff to unlock as free bonuses throughout this campaign (even at as little as $1), so the earlier you hop aboard, the better! And if you can't this time around, no worries at all! If you'd still be willing to share the project out, that would help tremendously to grow our audience. Here is the link:

We would love to have you aboard! And if you're already aboard, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You're the best :)

MANDRILL P.I. Issue #4 is live!
about 1 year ago – Fri, Feb 03, 2023 at 07:59:59 AM

Hello friends!

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know MANDRILL P.I. Issue #4 is live!

Super excited to share this issue with you. It’s issue number 4 of 6, and that means it’s chock full of mystery, action, BBEG evil traps & monologues, and so much more!

Carlos and Lettersquids are back, and the art is better than ever. There are variant covers by some amazing artists, including Tin Bott and Core Lo. I also took a few of the highly limited variant covers from Issue #3 and had ultra-limited metal covers added to them—only 10 Marco Fontanili and 10 Santiago Latorre.

There are also a few of the metal Issue #2 variants left by Alex Cormack (only 10 of these in existence) and Ryan Dunlavey (only 5 of these in existence), which you can find in the add-on section.

My ask would be for you to back it at this time, even if it’s as little as $1. Anything matters, because the more backers we have, the more Kickstarter’s algorithm goes to work getting us in front of a wider audience.
