Happy Weekend!
MANDRILL P.I. is off to a fantastic start--thanks to you and your support!
And now it's time to announce our first stretch goals:
That's right! When we hit $2250, every physical backer gets a sticker of one of the new characters in the novel, Kip Catfish!
As his name implies, Kip is a catfish, but there’s so much more to him than that. He’s not only a cowboy who traverses the city in an old-timey copper diving suit, he’s also a hotshot homicide detective and MANDRILL P.I.’s former partner.
Will he survive the outbreak of were-creatures? Or is this the end of the line for ol’ Kip?
Additionally, when we hit 100 backers, I'll add a backer "Thank You" page at the back of the digital edition!
Thank you again for backing MANDRILL P.I.! I'll be back soon with another update, but until then, my favorite part of these: highlighting other projects you may be interested in.

3) UNDER THE EARTH, OVER THE SKY: A FAIRYTALE NOVEL by EMILY McCOSH
Under the Earth, Over the Sky begins on the borders of the human realm and the places known as fairyland. To Iohmar, fairyland is Látwill, home to his folk and other realms stranger and foreign even to the king of the fae.
But when his crows fly to him one spring day, he leaves the eternal mountains of his home cloaked in mist and twilight and ventures into the mortal trees.
What he finds is the brutality of the human realm. And amidst it, a baby abandoned with no proper home or those to care for it. Though it breaks his own decree, Iohmar takes in the child. But all of Látwill is not so bright, and Iohmar's folk not all so fair and gentle. As he cares for the sickly boy, he keeps him hidden from his people. There are those he trusts—Galen, his caretaker since childhood; Rúnda, neighboring queen and keeper of his heart—but even more who are mysterious to even the king beneath the earth.
In his efforts to save the fragile human, Iohmar may gain a son to love and protect, but his magic begins to unravel. Unknown shadows enter the fair lands of the fae. Memories of his thousands of years are dredged to the surface, and monsters from his past encroach once more upon his mountains and sleeping woods.
